Skin Care.

It can be used to care for oily and sensitive skin.

This may make bergamot oil an effective spot treatment for acne or other small wounds on the skin if you do not have sensitive skin. Bergamot may also help improve psoriasis symptoms.

It is a powerful antibacterial and anti-fungal.

Remember that Bergamot (a citrus oil) will be reactive to sunlight if applied to the skin.

Do not apply Bergamot neat to the skin.

Perfect for: evening relaxation, unwinding after a stressful day, minor skin irritations, summer evenings outdoors, insect season

How to Use Bergamot

In a diffuser: Add 4–6 drops to your diffuser with water. Ideal for the living room in the evening or any space where you want to create a sense of calm.

Topical application: Dilute 2–3 drops in 10ml of a carrier oil such as our Organic Jojoba Oil. Apply to pulse points, temples or the area of concern for deep relaxation and calm. Always patch test before first use.

In the bath: Blend 4–6 drops with a tablespoon of carrier oil, then add to warm running water for a therapeutic aromatic soak.

For massage: Add 12–18 drops per 30ml of carrier oil (2–3% dilution) for a therapeutic full-body massage.

Blends well with: Lavender, Ylang Ylang, Chamomile Roman, Frankincense.

Safety: For external use only. Always dilute before skin application. Not recommended during the first trimester of pregnancy without professional advice. Keep away from children and pets.

Important: Bergamot contains furanocoumarins that increase skin sensitivity to UV light. Avoid direct sunlight or UV exposure on treated skin for 12 hours after topical application.
