Uses & Benefits
- Cooking: High smoke point for frying; neutral taste for general cooking; unrefined, good for adding to dishes.
- Heart Health: High-oleic versions may help lower bad cholesterol (LDL) and reduce heart disease risk.
- Skin Care: Moisturising, soothing, helps repair skin barrier, protects against free radicals (Vitamin E), non-comedogenic (won't clog pores), ideal for dry/eczema-prone skin.
- Cosmetics: Emollient, carrier oil for massage, baby care.
How to Use Sunflower Seed Oil
For aromatherapy blending: Use as a base oil to dilute essential oils for massage or topical application. Standard dilution is 2–3% (approximately 12–18 drops of essential oil per 30ml). Pairs beautifully with Lavender, Tea Tree or Frankincense.
For skincare: Apply a few drops directly to clean skin as a nourishing facial oil or body moisturiser.
For hair care: Massage into the scalp and through hair lengths. Leave for 20 minutes or overnight as a deep conditioning treatment, then shampoo with our Organic Aloe Vera Shampoo.
For massage: Use alone for a nourishing massage or blend with your chosen essential oils for added therapeutic benefit.
Safety: For external use only. Patch test before first use. Store in a cool, dark place.
